STORYTELLING
I was born and studied in Barcelona.
One of my hobbies was photography, which I practiced in my free time.
At the age of 22, I decided to take over the family farm located in Lleida (Spain). It is a farm, where apples were traditionally produced. So, I moved to live in the countryside and for 20 years, I worked as a fruit grower, producing tons of top-quality apples. At the same time, I continued taking photographs as a hobby, and this hobby became more and more important within me.
Living in the countryside, in contact with Nature, I gradually discovered the shapes, textures, colors, sounds and changing lights, which developed within me an artistic sensitivity committed to BEAUTY.
Meanwhile, photography was becoming more and more important in my life, until one day I decided that I didn’t want to be a fruit grower anymore, and I left this beautiful profession to dedicate myself body and soul to what I was passionate about more than anything at that time; photography.
One day, a book by an American photographer who was dedicated to architectural photography fell into my hands. I felt a great emotion before the BEAUTY of this photographer’s architectural images. At that moment, I decided that I wanted to become a photographer, specialized in photographing Architecture.
That’s how, at 40 years of age, I changed the direction of my life; from apples to photography.
All my training in this specialization has been self-taught, working from enthusiasm and passion. After a year, I was already publishing in architecture and decoration magazines in Spain and Italy. Then, over time, my reports were also published in magazines in Germany, Sweden and Brazil.
The AFPE (Association of Professional Photographers of Spain) awarded me the “LUX Gold” and “LUX Silver” Award for Architectural photography, which was a real honour for me.
I have been very happy photographing Architecture, but my artistic soul was telling me something else. So, after more than 400 Architectural reports, I leaned towards artistic photography, which is what I love and seduce the most.
With artistic photography, I like to share with people the BEAUTY that the world offers us, and give the opportunity for this BEAUTY to be part of the spaces in which we live and work.
